We have not yet officially announced the release of Dire Con’s self titled EP, but the single, “Pills,” seems to be getting some attention. This week (which is maybe last week by the time I discovered this), the track got listed on the weekly Top 13 list at Advanced Demonology. Flattering words, uniquely stated, accompanied.

May as well announce it now that the long-in-production, self titled EP from Dire Con will be released in the last week of May this year. Our new friends at A New Band a Day were the first to give it some press love, featuring the single, “Pills,” today on their site. They accompanied it with some very kind words and a lovely real world parable about being polite.

Jer Cole did a pretty good preview of our show at The Pilot Light tonight. It’s printed in the Knoxville News Sentinel today, but you can also read it online.
Consider this article the teaser for our feature presentation downtown tonight!
Last week, I passed along a new, unreleased track to Steve Wildsmith of The Weekend section of Maryville, Tennessee’s The Daily Times. He debuted the song (titled “All of Me All of You”) on his blog, accompanying a lovely little article that also made it into the September 3rd edition of The Daily Times Weekend. It’s mostly a good little run down of what’s going on with the Kirby-Collins-Driscoll-Jae-Hill project (Pocket Strength?).
